Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the Merapi Volcano Museum for its incredibly low entrance fee and highly educational content, especially for children. The exhibits, including the eruption film and interactive simulators, are engaging and informative. While some note that upkeep could be improved given the low cost, the museum is considered a worthwhile and impactful stop for understanding volcanic phenomena and Merapi's history.

"Well maintained museum in Merapi Mountain area. The entrance fee is only 5K per person, you also can watch the documentet movie by paying extra fee 5K per person. This place is suitable for kiddos as they'll learn about history, how's volcano eruption happened and how to save their life during volcano eruption. There are a lot of simulator that they can try to lead their critical thinking.

My favorite part is the kitchen that had swapped by "wedus gembel" or hot cloud during eruption and stories of the survivor. I need to hold my tears to not drop as it's so sad, they invite us to feel what they feel and how to grateful to God for saving their life during the terrible disaster. For people in Merapi, they believe that Merapi tak pernah ingkar janji (Merapi never break the promise)."
