What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the TIM library for its aesthetic appeal, spaciousness, and comfortable ambiance, making it a great spot for reading and working. The convenience of free lockers and Wi-Fi is appreciated, though securing a good seat can be challenging during peak times. The surrounding street food offers a tasty bonus.
"Nice place to chill out. The art gallery is opened only when an exhibition occurs. But the library is spacious, pleasant and has a unique ambience. The environment is comfortable for reading or working. The book's collection is quite diverse."

"Love love love the library!
You'll have to register in advance if you want to enter the library quickly, and it'll be better to come here early. I came around 10AM and the seat inside the library is almost full. Just a few seat here and there, but not the cozy ones. The book collections are quite extensive, but it was less than what I expected. Will come here again just to spend time in the library ♡
Oh, btw, you can't bring your bag or food or drink inside. You'll have to keep all your belongings inside the locker (it is free). You can bring your laptop and important things though. They'll provide you with transparent PVC tote bag."

"I came to visit the TIM library just once, because I couldn't find a desk for me to study. Well, my fault, I went there at Saturday/weekend.
I would say this is a cozy and aesthetic-like library in Jakarta. The view, interior design and exterior are 🤌✨
If you want to go here, first thing to do is to download the Jaklitera app and register, because you need to scan the QR code at the entrance.
After that, they will give you a locker key and library transparent totebag to keep all the things you want to bring into the library; laptop, notebook, phone, etc. Please do not bring any snacks or drink except mineral water in your own tumbler.
There is free Wi-Fi. They also provide a room for children to play/storytelling room, a computer room if you want to use the library pc, and many desks with good view for you to work/study, but yeah keep in mind that they're quickly filled up with people. Either you wait, or read something while stretching your legs on the floor beside the Bookshelf 🥲
Over all, it was a good experience for me. The staff is nice, you ask and they're happily answer you anything.
But, still, I can't find the book I need there for my research. So, maybe I will visit this library again only for working, or just vibing like I'm a book worm."
