What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Cunca Wulang Waterfall is praised for its stunning natural beauty, clear waters, and unique canyon-like rock formations, offering a refreshing swimming experience and thrilling jump spots. However, some visitors find the mandatory guide fees and overall cost to be high for the region.
"It was worth the trek with a local guide along a set path with steps and 2 bridges. It was mostly downhill which means your return will be uphill. Great scenery, nature at its best. Recommend comfortable walking shoes. Only 1 little shop at the end where you get a drink while relaxing on the rocks. On this visit the water increased and so did the river which rose above the lower rocks. The 2 rope bridges were safe to cross. Just be carefully if you visit under these conditions. Overall it was worth the experience. Don't forget to tip the guide 😁"

"Nice waterfall with 2 places to jump: 3 and 7 meters. It's nice to swim there. You can stay as long as you want until 17h where closes.
You have to pay 70k/person and 50k for the ranger (one ranger per group), so we were 2 people and we paid 190k. The ranger goes with you until the waterfall and waits for you to get you back. There is a bar close to the waterfall. The ranger is not needed, it is another scam of the indonesian goverment, they pretend the place is dangerous because it is slippery...
It's true that it is expensive for indonesia, and the guide is not needed at all. Go if you have nothing more to do because it is nice to take a bath on the water, but the trip time by scooter and the price doesn't worth it"

"Such a cool waterfall!! Lots of jump spots and the water is so welcoming. We had to pay 190k for 2 people (see attached photo). Well worth the visit though, we spent a while here playing in the water 🙂 you can access the top of the waterfall as well."

👨👩👧 Families with Kids
While the swimming pools are inviting, adult supervision is crucial, especially around the jump spots. The mandatory guide fee adds to the overall cost, which might be a factor for budget-conscious families. Consider if the trek and cost align with your family's energy levels and budget.
