What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Vattavada's serene atmosphere, unique accommodations like mud cottages and treehouses, and the exceptional hospitality. The delicious, homestyle food and breathtaking misty landscapes are consistently highlighted as major draws. Some guests mention that while the natural beauty is unparalleled, the remoteness means fewer dining options outside of resorts.
"I recently stayed here for two weeks, and I can honestly say it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I started out in the dormitory and later moved to the tent, and both stays were unforgettable in their own ways. The accommodation was comfortable, clean, and created a perfect balance between relaxation and adventure.
What really stood out to me, however, was the service. The team here goes above and beyond, and I’ve never experienced such genuine hospitality before. Wasim, the manager, was incredibly attentive and always made sure everything was running smoothly. Shanu, the chef, made every meal a delight—his food was absolutely delicious and felt cooked with so much care. Alsohi, who looked after maintenance, worked tirelessly to make sure everything was in perfect order, always with a friendly smile.
Together, they make the best team, and their warmth and dedication made my stay truly special. I left not only with great memories but also with a sense of connection and gratitude. I would highly recommend this place to anyone—it’s more than just accommodation, it’s an experience you’ll carry with you forever."

"The mud cottage in Vattavada was a unique and refreshing experience. The rustic setup is cozy, clean, and blends beautifully with nature. Hospitality was excellent, with staff ensuring comfort and guiding us about local trails and experiences. Food was homely, fresh, and full of local flavors. If you’re looking for peace, starry nights, and a break away from the busy world, this cottage is a perfect choice."

"The stay was extremely beautiful from the location in the middle of the woods to the food they served day and night as well as the good natured and sweet people that made our trip so amazing. The 4 dogs here especially Maya added so much love and care to our trip, we will cherish our memories with her. The place feels like taking a forest bath where you can hear all sorts of animals all day, helped me read and introspect a lot more. Lastly the food, every meal felt so fulfilling the chef is amazing, worth every penny you spend!! Overall amazing stay and amazing experience. Definitely come here and spend a day just at the resort to absorb all vattavada has to offer."
