"We stayed in kurinji room. The view from the room was absolutely out of the world. We had visited it during the first week of January. The staff had informed us that we would be able to see Indian gaur by 5 pm and we could! We were able to spot nilgiri langur eating berries on a tree, a herd of Indian Gaur grazing on grassland, a horse which had escaped from tourist area and at night there were wild elephants. We were advised not to go outside during the night since there were elephants. Still we could hear their trumpet and cracking sound of tree branches. And even if you don't get to see animals, the place itself offers serenity with its winding roads and pines. The stay was basic. It's absolutely safe for families since we had 2 families with kids staying at the property on the same day. There was no heater and it was bone chilling cold in January with temperature about 4-6°c at night. But the staff had given as blankets and hot water. The staff were amiable and the food was also good. We woke up early in morning to catch a glimpse of crackling ice and snow beneath our shoes. Sharing some pictures now. NB: only those who take the stay inside the National Park are allowed to stop inside it."
