What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about Kyatanmakki Viewpoint's breathtaking natural beauty, especially during the monsoon when fog and mist create a mystical atmosphere. The adventurous jeep ride and rewarding trek are highlights, offering stunning panoramic views. While facilities are basic, the serene environment and photographic potential make it a hidden gem.
"We visited Gali Gudda, Kyatanamakki on August 10th, and it was an unforgettable experience. We were lucky enough to see it both with fog and without — and each had its own charm. When the fog rolls in, the whole place feels mystical and dreamlike; when it clears, you get a breathtaking 360° panoramic view of the surrounding hills and valleys.
The weather was cold throughout, which made the 3 hours we spent there even more refreshing. The trek itself is about 3 km, not too difficult, but absolutely worth it for the views at the top. There’s a small ₹50 entry fee, and note that two-wheelers are not allowed beyond a certain point. You’ll need to hire a jeep to reach the trekking start point, which has an additional charge — but the bumpy ride is part of the adventure!
If you’re planning a trip, I highly recommend going in August, when the monsoon mist adds to the beauty without blocking the views completely. It’s a perfect spot for nature lovers, photographers, and anyone looking to just relax in a peaceful, scenic environment."

"Visited on 22/June/2025.
We witnessed an amazing view alongside rainbows at the top of the hill! It was spectacular. Neither any forest department permission, nor to pay any fees for this trek.
REACH: There are options to reach the peak.
1) You may either pay for the Jeep, which will drop at a point from where you have to hike for 15mins more to reach the peak.
2) Trek will take approximately 2 km (45 min) 1 side."

"A great spot to watch sunrise or sunset since the hills are open and surrounded by others in a distance. You can pay 200 per head for the Jeep to take you up to the peak or trek the route up and down. The trek will take approximately 45 min 1 side and is not advisable to trek if you’re closer to losing to sunlight towards the end of the day. Entry to this point is 50rs. The ambience is amazing and this spot is not known by many people. The lush greenery will keep you hooked for a long time and there are benches on the peak for you to sit and relax. Please travel responsible and do not litter."
