What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the dramatic 'mini-Grand Canyon' landscapes and the intriguing historical wartime tunnels. It's praised as a unique, adventurous escape from the city, offering stunning views and a sense of discovery. However, some find the trails challenging and advise thorough preparation for exploring the tunnels.
"Such a beautiful and unique forest, saw this underwater paper bark trees at the Pineapple Dam Reservoir, they look awesome, I can't get enough taking photos and videos around. A must visit place, different scenery while the dam's water level is high, and another beautiful scenery in summer time when the water level is low."

"Beautiful and relaxing place. The Pineapple Dam Trail is very short, shady, and full of monkeys! 🐒 An easy hike for a family outing (and there’s picnic rest stops)
There are also toilets and a refreshment kiosk at the central office where the bus station is.
However although the Pineapple trail is an easy short walk, there are some steep steps, but the upper part of the trail is accessible by road to continue around the longer trails that follow the reservoir.
There are several butterfly gardens tucked along this second alternate road which are definitely worth a visit!🦋
Be warned: the bus service gets extremely busy during peak days so if you have young ones or elderly folk with you, be prepared to fork out for a taxi to avoid long bus queues in the heat! 🚌"
