Reviews Summary

Visitors are consistently awestruck by the breathtaking, panoramic views of Hong Kong from Kowloon Peak, especially from Suicide Cliff and Lions Head Rock. The challenging hike is considered a worthwhile adventure for the incredible photo opportunities. However, the steepness of the trails and the potential dangers associated with the cliff edges are frequently mentioned, underscoring the need for caution.

"Steep hike, definetely not for beginners. I would also avoid in rainy and moist days as climbing in slippery conditions is very dangerous. There are some ropes tied up on trees to help you, but be aware that they are tied to small trees…"

Viktor Füri

"Few ways to get there. The fastest is the hardest and when I say hard I mean if you are not a pro hiker - don't. It's a crazy climb, narrow and exhausting. TAKE WATER!!! I stupidly took just half a bottle and it was crazy hot. But after all of that, it's so worth it when you get to the cliff...wow. Just don't jump! In one of my pictures there is the street where the hard climb starts. There are blue ribbons along the way for guidance. If you want the easier way, take the summit trail and go down from there to the cliff."

ita40200

"One of the most incredible hikes I have been on in HKG and all over the world. Moderate hike- once trail head is found. Locals coming down couldn't be more friendly and supportive. Thank the heavens for ribbon tree markers, we lost our way a few times- until finding ribbons again. The brush is thick and comes up to shoulders in some areas.
Absolutely worth it!! Take it slow and be careful."
