What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Ma On Shan Promenade for its stunning, unobstructed views of the Hong Kong skyline, especially at sunset and night. It's a highly recommended spot for families due to its excellent playgrounds and safe, open spaces for recreation. While dining options directly on the promenade are limited, the nearby town center offers plenty of choices.
"The Ma On Shan Promenade has good coastal scenery and is a good place for leisure sports....
There are more people running, probably because there are more people living in the periphery。。。
Today, Sunday, March 9, 2025, the sun is shining! Running is very comfortable, probably a lot of people run during the holidays"

"A nice promenade with bicycle trail, running track, benches and kiddy playgrounds all the way. It stretches from Wu Kai Sha to Tai Shui Hang. Scenery is wonderful overlooking the bay. A good place to rest and exercise."

"The Ma On Shan Promenade opened to the public in 2010 and has been a nice area for leisure and recreation since that time. This is a 3.2 kilometre waterfront with very nice views of Tolo Harbour.
The promenade is lined with a jogging path, frequent seating areas and very good landscaping. The trees are now much taller, providing shade on sunny days, making the promenade more appealing to visit year round compared to when it first opened. There is also an attractive Bougainvillea Garden, well tended shrubs, trees and flowering plants throughout.
Along the promenade, you will also find children's playground area, light exercise equipment for the elderly, a tai chi area as well as interesting wind and solar hybrid lamps. You'll catch quite a few joggers and local residents taking strolls with their families as well. There are promenade maps as well as directions to the various facilities every few hundred metres."
