"I am so glad we took the time to travel to this amazing museum! I do not even have interest in history of my own country during my schooldays but this totally convinced me that knowing about history is not just boring stuff. Best of all, it is free and it even has free cold water refilling station that really gives you a boost to explore this unique multi-level museum on a scorching day!"

"An incredibly well put together, underrated museum with deeply detailed exhibits of Hong Kong's rich colonial and military history. There is also a lower section of the museum taking you to the coastline. A full walk around will take a good two to three hours and more and it makes for a good half day activity. Free admission too. The museum is very well maintained.

My favourite part of the museum were the exhibits on the build up of the fort leading up to World War II, and the subsequent repurposing of the lands in the years around the handover. Definitely worth a visit if you enjoy history."

"The museum is pretty large and houses quite a number of artefacts and exhibits that cover the history of HK during the colonial era. There are a few different routes you can take to explore the area, both indoors and outdoors. Highly recommend for history buffs!"
