"American Tourist Review:
This place is worth a visit for the restaurant, art and activities. We ended up spending 3.5 hours here with 2 young kids. It is up in the clouds and NOT walking distance, but a very short drive to/from Antigua
We first went to breakfast. The volcanos were blocked by clouds but you could still see an eruption. The juice was freshly made, the latte was delish and the food was with it in portions and taste.
After breakfast we took a tour of the grounds and enjoyed the express zip line for better views. We found the koi fish pond hidden down a road, got some great photos and took our time.
Spending a morning. It will be worth it."

"On my last day stay at Santo Domingo, the kind front desk staff told me that there is a second location on the hill with a free shuttle service from the hotel. Since the Cerro de la Cruz is under renovation, the place provides another aerial view of the town below. In addition, there is a restaurant onsite that attracts a lot of locals for a sat brunch. Next to it is a market for local craftsmen, a zip line if you are adventurous, and a handful of museums and galleries celebrating the giants of modern Guatemala artists and writers. One can spend a whole day there without running out of things to do or see. And there are rooms for overnight as well, part of the Santo Domingo hotel but cheaper than the ones in town. Highly recommend."
