What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Eifel-Therme Zikkurat is generally viewed as a solid, budget-friendly thermal bath offering good value for money, particularly for locals. While it may not be as luxurious as newer establishments, it provides a clean and enjoyable experience with access to saunas and pools. Some minor drawbacks include older locker systems and potentially higher prices for basic amenities like water.
"It was alright.
The location is very near to a newer thermal bath, which is way more luxurious. But also more than twice as expensive.
Seeing it in comparison to each other, they are both good choices. Depending on your budget.
Cleanness was alright. Organisation also.
Hot steam bath was nice. Definitely go with that option.
Minus: the lockers are older, which means you have a big and clumsy bracelet.
Staff was alright, a bit much at the beginning and in the Restaurant.
Over all it was alright, not bad, but not really good or special either."

"Bit expensive for what it offers, but it's alright for sportswimming and not too overrun. Even in the evenings."

"When I read other reviews I can only roll my eyes... you get best value for your money here, how can anyone complain about cleanliness? It's always spotless clean and the staff is very nice and funny. The place itself is big enough with enough Saunas and possibilities to have a dip for the price you pay. Full day for 27€ is nothing these days. The food is good too, alone the french fries for 3,50€ are delicious and for 2€ more you can get "Pommes Special" like in the Netherlands. Absolutely nothing to complain for the price you pay. There's a swimming pool you can use for the same price. Opening times for the Sauna are from 10am to 10pm, Friday and Saturday from 10am to 11pm, Sunday only till 9pm. So what is written here is only for the swimming pool. Sure there are much more luxurious places, I have been to many, still especially as a local this place is perfect for a nice Sauna day every week or so. Kinda ridiculous when people run around with sensors, detectors and meters in a place where they should relax. Just turn your head off and enjoy... people are doing way too good and complain too fudging much. Jeeeeeez."

Value for Money: A Local's Perspective
Reviewers often express frustration with complaints about cleanliness or value, highlighting that the facility is consistently spotless and the staff are friendly. The pricing for food, like the delicious french fries, is also noted as being very reasonable, further contributing to the overall positive value proposition.

Navigating Your Visit: Tips from the Community
While the facility offers a pleasant water temperature, some visitors accustomed to hotter thermal baths might find it more akin to a 'tropical pool.' This is a matter of personal preference, but it's good to manage expectations. Also, be mindful of the cost of simple items like a glass of water, which can be surprisingly high.
For those looking to truly unwind, consider visiting during weekday evenings when the crowds tend to thin out, allowing for a more peaceful experience. The extended hours on Friday and Saturday nights also provide a great opportunity for a late-night relaxation session.
