What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
K20 Kunstsammlung NRW is highly praised for its impressive modern and contemporary art collections, including standout exhibitions like Marc Chagall's and the unique 'in orbit' installation. Visitors appreciate the spacious, bright galleries and the helpful audio guide. Some minor critiques exist regarding historical accuracy in exhibition texts, but the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive.
"A really good art museum that has some text and also an audio guide you can access through your phone. The gallery isn't exactly arranged chronologically but it kind of is and tries to take the visitor through changes and major influences in the art world in the 1900s and some pieces are extremely recent (so technically not 20th century!)
The current Chagall exhibition is also very good.
My only problem was that I ran out of time as I had a dinner reservation. Would recommend highly."
Kiran Raichura
"They have a wonderful Mark Chagall exhibition now. Very much worth the visit but expect some queues at the entrance so it’s recommended to get tickets online.
The rest of the museum is good to with works from Picsso, Matisse, Kandinsky and others"
Ofir Frenkel
"The Museum of Contemporary Art is spacious, bright, and very welcoming. The exhibitions are always modern, stylish, and well-maintained, showing the care and attention they receive. I truly enjoyed my visit here. I love spending time in such places — they inspire and fill me with new ideas. Before the war, I often visited similar museums in Ukraine, so this place brought back especially warm feelings."

The Marc Chagall Exhibition: A Visitor's Perspective
However, some visitors have pointed out potential historical inaccuracies within the exhibition's educational materials.
