What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
KaDeWe is widely praised as a premier shopping destination and a culinary wonderland, especially its legendary 6th-floor food hall. Visitors rave about the vast selection of international delicacies and the impressive array of luxury brands. However, some find the prices high and the store can feel overwhelming due to its size and crowds.
"What’s not to love about the greatest store in the world? I’ve been here many times, and there have been some changes since the pandemic, but it’s still the best store in the world. It’s a great place to buy gifts while traveling, a great place to have some tea, or a great place to have a glass of champagne and rest after sight seeing. I will never not come here while in Berlin, and you should come too!!!"

"KaDeWe is definitely worth a stop if you’re in Berlin. It’s a huge department store with pretty much everything—from luxury brands to off-season discounts tucked away on the upper floors.
I mostly went for the food court after hearing so much about it, and it didn’t disappoint. Lots of options, including some great coffee bars and restaurants. The wine and spirits section is also surprisingly extensive.
It’s not cheap, but the quality is top notch. Even if you’re not planning to shop, it’s fun to walk around and take it all in. Kind of like a mix between a fancy shopping mall and a gourmet food market."

"Vast! If you like department stores then I’m sure you’ll be happy. I went for the high end food floor. Great selection of vendors and by looking around I’d say something for everyone’s taste. Also the very top floor offers an affordable buffet style."
