"I was here for a Memorial Day service (5/27/2001) when I served in the US Army with 201 FSB, 1st ID. It was a platoon of US soldiers and a platoon of French troops. A really cool experience. I remember there was a barracks nearby or at the cemetery where Jewish victims slept. We didn’t go inside but it was cold and dark, just wooden bunks."
