Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Riquewihr for its stunningly preserved medieval architecture and enchanting atmosphere, calling it one of France's most beautiful villages. The Tower Museum of Thieves is noted as educational but intense, with steep stairs being a common drawback. Some mention seasonal closures for attractions.

"Very old and historical building. One room pertaining to the tourture method and another showing some devices. Then there are some rooms regarding the history of the building and area. Not very much to see but interesting. The town is very old and beautiful."

Rachel K

"For 7€, we visited both the musea in this town, but this Tower Museum of Thieves is the most impressive and educational. The horrors of torture are still part of this building. But there are also several rooms with interesting historical movies and the descent through the brewers house is a nice second part of the experiënce. Amazing how 500 years old wooden houses still stand. These pictures are of the Tower Museum. See also my other review of the smaller second museum 'Du Dolder', a minute walk from this site. The friendly person at tickets sales makes my day. Compliments."

Carl Nys

"Very interesting. The only negative is there are a lot of narrow, very steep stairs to climb up and down. The content was very interesting."
