Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Wormhout Massacre Memorial deeply moving and a fitting tribute to the soldiers who were tragically killed. The site is well-maintained and offers a quiet, humbling experience for reflection on a significant historical event.
"Anyone who is interested in the evacuation at Dunkirk will find this interesting. This is the site where 100 soldiers who had been fighting a rear guard action against the Germans (SS) to protect the beaches were captured and massacred ( Barn ), and a few escaped to tell the tale. However, 80 lost their lives, and this memorial does them justice. We will remember them."
