The preserved fortifications and artifacts are particularly impactful, providing a balanced historical perspective. While the main museum is nearby and essential for a full understanding, Bastion 32 stands as a significant historical site.
"Nice museum that charts the days up to and including the evacuation, Operation Dynamo. I’ve watched all the films but to be here and see the artefacts that still wash up on the beach is enthralling. There is a 12 minute video played alternately in English then French that gives you the outline then you walk round the displays and read the history on the walls. It’s largely been forgotten about now but at 12€ for the two of us in 2024 it was well worth it."
Paul White
"[!!] Note: the museum is nearby - this spot is only the remaining of fortification wall with a sea view. For the museum, check the 1940 one, which opens at 10:00 😉
Otherwise, it has a nice view!"
