What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Conflans-Sainte-Honorine is appreciated for its unique status as the capital of boatmen, offering a distinct riverside charm with its residential barges. Visitors enjoy the pleasant walks along the Seine and the friendly atmosphere, though some note that the town can be quiet, especially in August, with certain establishments closed.
"The port was created in 1991 on the initiative of the municipality in order to accommodate Freycinet* type boats for exclusive residential use as a main residence, for the benefit of retired boatmen or those in cessation of activity. This port has always had a strong social vocation."

"I think the beautiful capital of boatmen has had its day. A river stopover without much character or boats, for that matter. What remains are the locals and a few tourists who have arrived there for the historical appeal of the place. In August, there's no interest. There are no terraces set up along the Seine. Everything is closed, but a few very interesting restaurants are still standing. A crêperie, a brasserie, a place called Ana, where you don't eat but can still recharge while eating (oops!), a burger joint, and a lovely bakery that serves snacks. All this in one place. I opt for the brasserie and I'm not disappointed. See my 5-star review of the brasserie "Le Bouquet"
I opt for the brasserie and I'm not disappointed."
