"It's a very nice forest & very well looked after. You can walk around, cycle or run on well manage paths. You can spot red squirel, roe deers & lots of birds. It the spring it is full of bluebells & in the autumn different colours & some nice mushrooms"

Corrine Bourdon

"Fabulous and extensive ancient forest with many quality exercise facilities nearby (sports and swimming mainly). The forest is criss-crossed with paths of various sizes with many hidden open spaces for picnicking or rest. Despite its proximity to the residential suburbs of Paris and the number of people making use of the forest, it is sufficiently large, that one can always find a quiet spot. There is plenty of wildlife to see too."

Charlie Farrell

"It's a great forest for hikes, lots of different plants and mushrooms to see. There are also several praying spots scattered around the forest and even it's oldest landmark, La Croix Pucelle, that dates back to 1456.

It's isolated enough that you can hear little to no car noises once you're deep into the forest.

We couldn't find any clearings to or nice areas to have a picnic. You may find some trash lying around but that's the people's fault, not the forest."

David Bravo

What People Like

Abundant wildlife sightings
Peaceful and relaxing atmosphere

What People Dislike
