Joseph Drouhin Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru 2016⁣ ⁣ A beautiful wine that opened with an expressive, floral nose that showed elegant red fruit, spice, and earthy accents. The silky palate was nicely structured with plenty of pep, a gentle tannic grip, and great balance of fruit, mineral, and soil tones. The finish was lengthy and well-delineated. Enjoyable now and has the bones for medium-term aging....

Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise Joseph Drouhin for its deeply informative historical cellar tours and excellent, generously poured wine tastings. The knowledgeable guides and the unique atmosphere of the ancient cellars are frequently highlighted as major positives, making it a top recommendation for experiencing Burgundy's winemaking heritage. Some rare instances of less-than-ideal customer service have been noted, but the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive and considered great value.

"Great wine tour seeing thw 13th and 15th century cellars
really informative wine tasting , excellent"

"Our tour of Maison Drouhin's cellars was excellent. Walking through the historic cellars, you experience the full history of Beaune - the tour is just as much a wonderful education about the history of Beaune and winemaking in Burgundy as it is a tour about Drouhin. Elisa was a wonderful guide and we learnt so much. The guided tasting was also excellent and we were able to try a number of Drouhin's 1er crus (including the famous Clos de Mouches and a Grand Cru). Not a cheap tour but overall it was excellent value for money all things considered, and there were only 4 of us in the group. If you're going to tour one producer's cellars inside the city, it should be this one."

Patrick C

"Stopped in to ask for a tasting and the host was rude and sent me to the most touristic and lowest quality wine shop as a substitute. I guess she has no sense of Beaune. I was able to find better options than she offered within moments. I recommend Domaine Chansons."
