Reviews Summary
The Haute-Savoie Prefecture is frequently criticized for its difficult appointment system and slow communication, causing significant frustration for residents needing administrative services. However, the region itself is highly praised for its stunning natural beauty, charming towns like Annecy, and unique attractions such as the 'Goat Village'.
"March/April/May 2023, I’ve been doing my best to get an appointment for my residency card that was due to end by the end of June. I sent numerous e-mails to voice my problem, NO ANSWER. Had to drive all the way to Annecy just to be given a paper and be told that it’s all done online now. Okay cool, i prepared all the papers needed so i can upload them. My visa ends, NO ANSWER, a week later i receive une attestation de prolongation, three months later, it ended. I keep receiving the same demande “justificatif de nationalité”, DONE, SENT IT ALL, THREE TIMES. Right now, I’m stuck here, I can’t visit my country of origin and guarantee that I can come back and be with my husband. S/ Now I have this beautiful “Motif” over my first attestation de prolongation “Demande tardive de l’usager” even though I was NOT late, i sent the papers before my visa ended, PLUS it was the prefecture’s JOB to INDICATE somewhere on their website that I can finish my papers online, instead i wasted THREE MONTHS trying to get a RV and sending emails with NO RETURNS and WASTED MORE TIME driving all the way to Annecy to be HANDED A PAPER THAT SAID DO IT ONLINE."

"I've been trying since January 2022( it's been 5 months) to book appointment online but can't seem to get one. It's so frustrating because my visa is ending soon and I don't know what to do. Worst prefecture ever."
