What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Paphos Zoo is widely praised for its engaging animal encounters, particularly the lemur feeding and parrot show, making it a fantastic family day out. Visitors appreciate the friendly staff and the zoo's conservation efforts. However, some find the entry fee high for the visibility of certain animals due to enclosure design, and the summer heat can be intense.
"Huge entry fee for what it offers (17.5€) - even if there's a plethora of animals to visit, most are barely visible through the small gap metal fences and are distanced from the walkways. A lot of signs with the animal name info are missing.
This zoo specializes in birds, and is obvious when you catch the free bird show that has its schedule displayed at the entrance. It was pretty great, as they take good care of them, had them do cool tricks and sent positive messages about the environment within the 25 minute show
+Plenty of reptiles and visible terrariums"

"Such a lovely zoo. You can see how much the staff love and care for the animals.
But my God, visiting in August, go early like we did, was sooo hot. But thoroughly enjoyed seeing the animals.
Paid 50 euros for a group of 4 of us to feed the elephant, was incredible as I personally LOVE elephants. Then 5 euros each to feed the lemurs, this was an absolute treat, they all jumped onto you as you entered the enclosure but they are so gentle.
There are many species of birds to see, big cats like the white lion and beautiful tigers.
Thoroughly enjoyed my time here, would have stayed all day but was too hot.
Thank you for a wonderful experience."

"We had a wonderful day at Paphos Zoo. We saw the parrot show twice. The kids had a lot of fun feeding the lemurs. They also fed the goats, sheep and pony.
It was hot, but there are plenty of trees for shade.
I didn't like the animal cages. Too many metal bars - like a prison.
My recommendation is, if possible, to replace the bars with glass or more modern cages that would provide better visibility to the animals"
