What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the stunning, rewarding views and the unique blend of mythology and nature on the Aphrodite Nature Trail. While challenging with steep sections and a lack of shade, the breathtaking panoramas and historical sites make it a highly recommended hike for those prepared for the terrain.
"Stunning views and rewarding feast for the eyes after a long hike.
Relatively difficult trail for the untrained but still a joy to attempt. Steep ascend in the beginning, but when you reach the top, where all the Akama's capes are visible, it is very rewarding. Beautiful view points all the way through. Certainly recommended for all.
Be sure to bring your hiking shoes and some water. On the other side of the cliff, when you are descending, you are going to need some decent traction.
I have done it at least 6 times, and I am eager to go back sometime soon."

"Like it very much. The Trail of Aphrodite near Polis is a must do for nature lovers and mythology buffs alike! It is starting at the enchanting Baths of Aphrodite, where of course guides say the goddess bathed. then 7.5 km circular hike with stunning views of the Akamas Peninsula. Along the way, you’ll pass ancient ruins like the Queen’s Tower and a majestic centuries-old oak where Aphrodite supposedly rested. Of course she did. The trail winds through fragrant pine forests alive with rare wildlife, making every step magical. Mind the awful water fountains with non-drinkable water and take your own water bottle, big and full. Highly recommend!"

"One of the best trekking experience I ever had. The way is quite mixed and definitely not for beginners or health issues or knee issues person. The whole vegetation is so beautiful, breath taking nature and stone.
There are clearly routes signs.
Altogether great experience!
You will see a beautiful old, maybe more than 100 years older oak tree( I’m not sure, I assume that) at some route."
