"This one was hands down my favourite beach on Brač Island! Everyone visits Brač Island mostly because of what’s known as one of the most famous beaches of Croatia, Zlatni Rat (the one you see on postcards). However, I actually found this beach to be better.

Reviews Summary
Murvica Beach is lauded for its stunningly clear turquoise waters and peaceful atmosphere, especially on its quieter left side. Visitors appreciate the long hours of sunshine and beautiful sunset views. However, the steep access road and paid parking are common drawbacks, with some finding the closest parking options expensive and the drive challenging.
"Pros❤️
Beautiful Beach. Peacefull.
The water is crystal clear. No dark rocks :)) You can watch sunset here and some cute little fishes 🐠 no sea urchins 🦔
The sun is here quite a long time - on the lef beach untill approx 7:30 pm in September.
Cons🧐
Payed parking.
The road to access the beach is steep.
The waves can be quite big.
You can see and hear boats passing arround from a big distance.
There are 3 payed parking lots:
1st - next to the road, the parking without ramp is 10 eur/day (if you eat in the restaurant, you dont need to pay the parking, but the restaurant is not rated well so I would skip that. I would go to Hakuna Matata Beach Bar - good prices excelent food. Its 3 min drive from the parking - 30 min walk with amazing views - free parking)
2nd - parking with a ramp is 3 eur/ 1 hour.
3rd - downhill parking, closer to the beach, is 15 eur/day - its challenging to drive - its veeery steep.
Murvica consists from 2 beaches:
Left side - my favourite❤️ more quite, no trees, shade only under one big rock in the morning. I would use water shoes for easier access and little tent for a shade. But you can make it without them too. There is a stand for umbrella.
Right side - 2 patio - more loud, beach with shade and shade between trees. You can rent a padleboard- 5 eur. In high season there is also a bar open. The access to water is easier."

"Great beach! Clean sea and beautiful view. But the path to the beach was really painful. Steep long road that guides you to the beach is for healthy people in a good physical shape."

"Nice, quiet beach, with easy access — not as secluded as the next beaches going west, but definitely much easier access.
Paid parking with 10€/day, on the main road or another parking a bit further down on the road to the beach.
Most of the descent is paved.
A lot of natural shadow on the right side of the beach, under the pines.
Great snorkeling spot also!"

The Two Sides of Murvica Beach
The right side of Murvica Beach tends to be more lively and accessible. It boasts more natural shade from surrounding pine trees and offers a gentler slope into the water, making it more convenient for families. During peak season, you can expect a beach bar and paddleboard rentals here.
Choosing between the two often depends on your preference for peace versus convenience and amenities. Both sides share the same stunning, crystal-clear Adriatic waters that make Murvica a sought-after destination.
Navigating the Descent and Parking
Parking is a key consideration. There are multiple paid parking lots. The closest one to the beach is the most expensive at 15€ per day and can be challenging to navigate. A more economical option is the 10€/day parking near the main road, which involves a pleasant 30-minute walk with scenic vistas. Alternatively, a 3€/hour parking lot with a ramp is available. Some travelers suggest that parking further up the main road and walking down is the best strategy for both cost and driving ease.
It's worth noting that the restaurant near the parking lot offers free parking if you dine there, but reviews suggest exploring other nearby culinary options like Hakuna Matata Beach Bar for a better dining experience.
Why Murvica Stands Out
The beach's appeal is amplified by its serene atmosphere, especially on the quieter left side. The long hours of sunshine, extending late into the evening, make it an ideal spot for enjoying the sunset. This combination of pristine water, peaceful ambiance, and stunning natural light makes Murvica a true hidden gem for those exploring Croatia's coastline.
Despite the challenging access and parking fees, the unique charm and beauty of Murvica Beach make it a worthwhile destination for travelers seeking an authentic Adriatic experience away from the most crowded tourist spots.
