Reviews Summary
Sveti Jakov Beach is widely praised as a stunning and serene escape near Dubrovnik, offering clear waters and beautiful views of the Old Town. While the stairs and pebble shore require some effort, visitors find the tranquil atmosphere, convenient amenities like the beach bar, and picturesque setting well worth it. It's considered a hidden gem by many, providing a perfect day of relaxation.
"This beach is absolutely stunning, probably one of the best in Dubrovnik! It's about a 20-30 minute walk from the city, which was a little hot, but totally worth it. You can also drive or take a boat there. The beach has everything – you can rent chairs for about €7 each, or just use your own towel. There are restaurants for drinks and food, and it's a very family-friendly and calm atmosphere, a nice break from the city crowds. It was a bit crowded, but still one of the most beautiful beaches we've ever been to!"

"Chose to spend a guilt free beach day here on our last day in Croatia. Did not disappoint! Got to the beach for 10 30 and easily got a spot in the second row. Sunbeds were nice and comfy and 25 euros each for the day (15 extra for an umbrella) which didn't feel too bad. After spending lots of days swimming in more quiet spots straight off the rocks (as we don't like loud busy beaches), this delivered a nice change in scene. The beach was busy by midday but not so much that it ruined the relaxed atmosphere, and the size of it feels very intimate, with the palm fronded beach bar giving it an almost tropical feel. The beach bar does great burgers and various other bar snacks such as fried fish and calamari and salads, although the salads looked a little basic. There is also one proper beach restaurant on the other side of the beach. The water was very calm too. If you're looking for a proper beach day with all the works but without the obnoxiously loud music and crowds, this is the perfect spot!"

"An absolute hidden gem next to some of Dubrovnik’s bigger beaches but this was by far, the best! It’s quite steep to get to with a 5 minute walk down various stairs from the top of old town but well worth it. Lovely azure water, sunbeds that you can rent for €25 each (all come with umbrellas), a bar and restaurant and good music beach played throughout. It looks crowded but plenty of space for everyone. Was so glad that TikTok helped us come across this!"
