"I’ve been to Villa Vanilla three times now and it just gets better with every visit. Our tour guide, Joyce was incredibly knowledgeable. It’s so fascinating seeing where our spices come from and learning about the effort it takes to grow and make them. I now understand why vanilla needs to be expensive! The gift shop was amazing and I definitely recommend getting a coffee or drink while there. My group also loved that they give out the recipes for all the delicious treats they let you taste (we haven’t stopped talking about the ice creams and curry cookie). Villa Vanilla is a must see when in Costa Rica!"

The farm is not only beautiful but also fully organic and sustainable. Our guide, Yohis, was sooo knowledgeable and walked us through the entire process—from growing and harvesting to drying and roasting the spices—to bring out their full aroma and flavor.
We got to smell fresh vanilla, taste just-cut cinnamon, and even sample cacao in its raw form. Even the rain did not stop us from touring since we were provided with the umbrellas ! The experience ended perfectly with delicious ice cream served on an open patio overlooking a stunning view. A must-visit for anyone who loves nature, food, and learning something new!"
