Reviews Summary
Playa Grande is lauded for its stunning natural beauty, particularly its breathtaking sunsets and powerful surf. Visitors appreciate the ample space and tranquil atmosphere, making it ideal for relaxation and picnics. However, the strong waves and lack of shade require caution and preparation.
"This is a beautiful beach with a strong tide and huge waves. Take caution and do not surf unless you are an advanced surfer with strong swimming skills. If you want to just enjoy this beach and cool off the shore is the perfect place to lay on the sand and let the small waves wash over you. There isn’t exactly a sand bar, but you can swim and float in the water when it’s just knee deep without being tossed about by the small waves. I would be careful of going out further, as the waves would be exhausting to fight, but at knee height at the shore you are safe and it’s very peaceful. The beach is really quiet, with plenty of space and not a lot of people. There are water logs to sit on and there is a parking lot with a security guard you can pay if you want him
To watch your stuff. There’s also a small snack bar with water and sodas and small bites to eat. This beach is perfect for reading a book, having a picnic and just taking a quick dip to cool off before returning to your beach blanket. There is not a lot of shade so bring an umbrella or a hat."
