"Beautiful park with incredible beaches, forest, views and tons of wildlife. We saw tiny vipers, birds, butterflies, dragonflies, capuchin, coati, gars, fish, big crab in the water, crabs, hermit crabs, salamanders and lizards in less than two hours of visiting this park. Whether you’re looking for a beautiful beach to spend the day at or want to explore the forest, this park is for every nature lover. This is a must do activity when visiting the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit here. We will definitely be back."

"what a beautiful national park! entrance is on voluntary basis, be aware that you can’t bring a snorkeling mask as it’s only allowed with guide, i guess to protect the reef.
I saw sloths (two with babies), howler monkeys, eyelash vipers, toucans, oropendulas, crocodile, lizards, several colorful small birds. I am passionate about searching animals, however if you are not used to the area or don’t have good eyes, you might better take a guide if you want to see animals - they know best where to find them and all of them have a binoculars for better experience :-)
beautiful beaches, just be aware of the trees marked as Manzanillo - they are highly poisonous."

"It is a beautiful national park. Authentic and you don t cross many tourists. Take a towel and swimsuit with you because there are nice beaches on the trail. And bottle of water because the humidity is very high...i recommend this place even if you don t see many animals, i saw monkey, birds...the best option is to have a guide because the végétation is so thick and green. The trail is not difficult, it is flat. What is pity, the park open late 8 am and it is too hot to see the animals, 6 or 7 am would be better to spot animals. Before covid it was earlier the opening hours. But cahuita is a nice village, and the park worth it."
