"We came around 6:30am. There were about a handful of vendors selling fresh fruits, eggs, veges, local products like cacao powder, coconut oil...There were a few vendors selling art stuffs like jewelry. They came a bit later around 7am or so. This is end of March, and we got were papaya, mangos, small banana, sweet kind of passion fruits, soursop, rambutans, oranges, pineapple, watermelon, coconut, and avocado. The fruits are fresh and ready to eat. Depend on what we got , the price could be cheap or just as much as we got in the US. For example, we got a good size soursop we paid 3000 colones (~$5-6), a medium papaya was 1000 colones, and for the Mexican avocado we paid 1000 -1200 (~$2 )colones each depending on the size. We tried the banana and papaya, and they was sweet and good. The soursop with condensed milk / sugar made really yummy smoothie . The rambutans were a bit too ripe for me, we got some from the super market and they weren't as ripe and we liked them better . We usually like farmers market so I would definitely go again if so stay longer. Recommend to check it out."
