"Massive improvement since reopened.
It just to used to be a million crocodiles. Now there are many different types of animals.
We took my daughters here in her 12th birthday with 5 friends.
Entrance fee is ¥100 per adult or child over 1.5m.
Childten below 1.5 are charged ¥70.
We spent 5 hours and saw some amazing animals. Excellent photo opportunities.
The favourite for all was feeding the baby pigs. That was pretty awesome.
The pig swimming races are fantastic fun. So exciting and the staff handed out 5 placards number 1 to 5. My daughter was given the number 2 placard. And number 2 pig won. How excellent for that to happen on her birthday.
We ate some food in the cafeteria. Obviously there is Chinese food, bit also western food in smiley faces and chicken nuggets. So everyone was happy.
The Italian ice cream is excellent. ¥38 for a double scoop.
The toilets are mostly traditional Chinese, but you can find the western ones if you hunt.
The crocodile show is a bit rubbish. Our gang of kids, aged 9 to 12, found it a bit cruel and distasteful. I am proud of that and the fact that at such young age they have ethics and understanding that animals should be treated well. We spent less than a minute before we went off to see the swans.
When we left, I noticed that there was a line of taxi's waiting to take people away."

The Evolution of Guangzhou Crocodile Park
The park's classification as one of China's first AAAAA scenic areas underscores its commitment to quality and visitor experience. It now comprises seven distinct areas, each designed to offer an 'astonishing experience' to guests. This expansion has made it a comprehensive destination for wildlife enthusiasts and families alike, moving beyond its singular focus on crocodiles to embrace a broader spectrum of the natural world.
This evolution means that while the crocodile population remains a significant draw, visitors can also anticipate encountering numerous rare and beautiful wetland birds, contributing to a richer and more engaging visit. The park's continuous improvement aims to provide a memorable and educational outing for all who attend.
Family Fun and Entertainment
Beyond the pig performances, the park offers ample opportunities for children to engage with nature. Feeding the baby pigs is a memorable experience, and the chance to feed crocodiles (with park-provided food) adds an element of thrilling adventure. The park's layout is generally stroller-friendly, making it easier for families with very young children to navigate the different zones.
While the park aims to be enjoyable for all, it's worth noting that some of the more traditional 'crocodile shows' have been described as 'cruel and distasteful' by some visitors, prompting ethical discussions among younger guests. However, the overall family experience is overwhelmingly positive, with plenty of engaging activities and diverse animal sightings to keep everyone entertained throughout the day.
Photography Opportunities
Beyond the main animal exhibits, the park's landscaping and themed areas also present excellent backdrops for memorable photos. The lively pig shows are a particular favorite for capturing candid moments of joy and excitement. Early morning visits are often recommended for softer lighting and fewer crowds, allowing for more relaxed and unobstructed photography.
Remember to be mindful of any restrictions on flash photography, as it can disturb the animals. Following the guidance of park staff will ensure you get the best shots while respecting the wildlife. The park's diverse offerings make it a rewarding location for both casual snapshots and more serious photographic endeavors.
