Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the Confucius Temple and Imperial College for its serene atmosphere and rich historical significance, offering a peaceful escape from the city's hustle. Many appreciate the well-preserved architecture and the opportunity to learn about Confucianism and imperial education. Some visitors note that while informative, the site can be quiet, and additional context or a guide can enhance the experience.

"Please note that Google Maps does not work in China. The Confucius Tempe and the Imperial College Museum are two places steeped in history. However, the place is visited by Beijing people and students. As a result, the two parks are rather quiet and you can walk through the parks in peace and see them in peace. Unfortunately, not all panels are in English. Nevertheless, a visit is worthwhile."

"Note google map is NOT accurate in China. This temple is good to go if you are aware whom is the genius Confucius. You can buy tickets at the entrance or purchase from KKday in advance. Scan to enter. They stop scanning at 430pm sharp so don’t test them. I managed to scan 6 tickets at 429pm, not fun. But if you are the last to enter, u get half hour of lesser crowd. Very ancient place with a 700 year old year tree in residence. A museum to understand the history of the man. Bonus hall to view the Imperial College building. Toilets available."

Mervyn Phea

"The level of these ancient palaces and temples is very high, expressing China's tradition of respecting teachers and respecting morality, as well as the importance it attaches to the civil service system. This is a place well worth visiting."
