Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the China Film Museum for its vast collection and the impressive 360-degree screen, calling it a must-visit for film enthusiasts. However, some note the importance of checking for temporary closures due to renovations before planning a trip.
"Recommended by the local friend to come here. I don’t see much tourists here. No tickets were needed if you’re not watching the IMAX theater here. It’s great for families with kids looking for something to do in Beijing. Full length led screen from bottom to top. Also read up on the Chinese film exhibits and history. Some exhibits were close for maintenance and some look rather dated. But the giant led screen makes up for all of it! My toddler absolutely loves it."

"Whenever you visit Beijing don't forget to travel to the China national film museum too although you like or dislike it.
For me?
It's worth my time to learn and fall in love more after visiting particularly in excitement about their film technology which amazingly develops so fast.
And yes I feel positive and surprised so much indeed."

"We went to see a movie on the full IMAX screen - which was a wonderful experience - and also got to see some of the museum beforehand. I’m a professional filmmaker so it was cool to see old equipment from throughout history, included some I learned on myself. About the cinema: nowadays, the scaled-down “IMAX” in mall theaters has become most people’s idea of what the format is, but if you have a chance to see a film on the true 5-story tall screen, go! I’m a snob about picture and sound quality, and both here were excellent. One note is that if you want to see the entire museum beforehand, check the hours and make sure to get there in time. Various exhibitions close early. Going back this weekend to see Oppenheimer and can’t wait!"
