Reviews Summary

Visitors praise the Salto de Apoquindo waterfall as a breathtaking reward after a challenging, long trek. The natural beauty of Parque Aguas de Ramón is a significant draw, offering a refreshing escape into nature. However, the demanding nature of the hike and strict time restrictions are frequently mentioned as significant challenges.

"There is an entrance fee of 3000. I think its cash only - not very sure- Everyone was paying cash and I didnt notice if there was a credit card terminal. Also if you are a foreigner, I had to have an Id - passport in my case. Also had my visa. On finishing the hike you again have to deregister yourself.
Now for some timings. The park opens at 8 am. You have to get to a stream crossing after Los Peumos by 11 am. They dont let anyone pass that point after 11 am. You have to get to Salto de Apoquindo (the waterfall) by 1 pm, as they close that point as well at 1 pm. And return back to the starting point by 5 pm - as the park closes by 5 pm. There is a cute little cafeteria at the entrance, which was closed today and is closed tomorrow (Sat and Sun). I am not sure why. It was open last Sunday.
There are two patjs to get to the mid point - Los Puemos. The North one (to the left of the stream) is what 99.9 % people prefer as its the one marked well in the beginning. If you like to avoid people and their chatter and noise - pick the South trail. I prefer silence and that worked out well. No noise and saw one other person towards the tail end.
If you have done Manquehito or Manquehue, this shoukd not be difficult at all. Enjoy!"

Suriyan Ramasami

"8.5 km trek. Easy/moderate difficulty.
The waterfall at the end of the trek is very refreshing.
They check halfway if you can reach the end in time and make you turn back if you are late"

Andrea Ciardiello

"With countless times of giving up in my mind, but at the second I reached the waterfall, I realized that every effort is worth.
A total of 20 KM of round trip, the longest trekking in my life."
