What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Nayara Hangaroa is lauded for its stunning architecture, exceptional staff, and unique cultural immersion, offering a luxurious base for exploring Easter Island. While some rooms could benefit from updates and minor maintenance, the overall experience, especially the spa and stargazing, is highly praised. Occasional service hiccups, particularly with reservations, are noted but don't overshadow the positive aspects for most guests.
"If you light sleeper, bring earplugs due to roosters everywhere on the island. We are experiencing many joys on world’s most remote Easter Island - from Wild Horses roaming our resort grands to visiting the island’s stunning iconic Moai Statues in the midst of Biblical Sunrises and Sunsets over Moai Heads … The most remote most fascinating and most beautiful Island with 5-star gorgeous resort and spa stay - Easter Island Nayara Hangaroa. Oceanfront volcanic rocks with waves sprayed skyward. Nightly Sunsets are Psychedelic experience. It is totally Amazing what it feels like to be at THE very edge of the world!
Logistically most convenient Resort I ever stayed in - all great architecturally beautiful and unique restaurants, bar , spa and terraces and few steps away!!!
Beautifully deigned Resort Theater has highest quality local multi drums and other instruments band with dancers of local traditional music and dance performances.
Very nice and aesthetically pleasing multi-section designed pool with jets etc
SPA Menu is insane with most exotic and unusual massages, body treatments and scrubs. Due to limited stay I picked Bamboo sticks ( different sizes for each part of the body! ) and Coco Cacao Scrub . The quality and skill of therapist if phenomenal. Totally private reservation only prior massage - Sauna, Steam Room and Jacuzzi in Volcanic setting and Absolute Luxury."

"What a special place. Thank you to the friendly staff. Don’t miss the stargazing tour; It was one of the most incredible evenings we have ever had. Thank you Lunty and team.
We will return."

"For the price, we felt that this place should be immaculate. However, the room could use a refresh, such as a paint job, and a replacement (or washing) of the white couch cushion, which seemed dingy. Also, the shower drain was sluggish, and the toilet room doesn't have ventilation, so there was a slight odor. The resort is still using bar hand soap in the rooms, instead of liquid, which breeds bacteria. There is a shoe scraper brush at the front of the hotel which is supposed to remove dust from your shoes. However, it was so dirty that it seemed to add dust. All of this being said, we still gave it 4 stars because our room was only separated from the sea by a small local road and we really enjoyed sitting on our terrace watching the sea and local life. (Be sure to get the first row of rooms closest to the sea.) The rooms are interesting, with lots of stone incorporated into the design. The staff is extremely nice and accommodating, and the food in the restaurant and bar is quite good. Shout out to our favorite waiter Oscar at the restaurant! We had wonderful massages at the spa."

The winner and their clan gained prestige and privileges for the year. The architecture of Orongo, with its low, stone houses designed to withstand the strong winds, is a testament to the ingenuity of the Rapa Nui people.
Visiting Orongo is a profound experience, offering not just historical insight but also a deep connection to the island's dramatic natural beauty. It’s a place where the past feels palpable, surrounded by the raw power of nature.

The Magic of Easter Island Sunsets
Another iconic location for sunrise and sunset photography is Ahu Tongariki, home to fifteen imposing Moai.
