"The birthplace of nearly all of the Moai on the island; and 300+ of them never left this magnificent quarry for you to see. Some of them are on the ground bit many are upright and staring in different directions almost as if they are wondering why are I down by the sea. It is an incredible place to visit and a must thing to see when on Easter Island. Our guide who was Rapa Nui said this was his favourite place on the while island. BTW, it is mandatory to have an official guide to visit this quarry (as it is for all areas of the National Park on thr Island)."
