What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise the beautiful, well-maintained trails, especially during winter for skiing and snowshoeing. The free parking and occasional events like night skiing and bonfires add to the appeal. However, some have encountered unwelcoming attitudes from park staff, and new visitors should be cautious of the numerous side trails to avoid getting lost.
"We stayed to the main trail. There are many side trails and could be easy to get lost when you are new to the area.
Parking is free."
Linda Galea
"Love the trails winding through the forest. Skiing at its best. Occasionally there is night skiing which we did the first time this season and really enjoyed it. Helpful park staff. On the weekends there are wood burning fires at beginning and half way rest point. Lots of fun."
Paul Guinness
"Winter wonderland! This place is great all year round, but it is extra beautiful in the winter. It is a great place for snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and even fat-biking. The park office has some rentals for those that don’t come fully prepared. The trails are well defined and maintained. It can easily take you about 3.5 hours to complete the 3 snowshoes paths that they have. It is well worth the time spent in nature and away from the city!"
