What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Garden City Lands is appreciated for its expansive walking paths, making it a favorite for dog owners and fitness enthusiasts. Visitors enjoy the seasonal beauty, especially in summer, and the educational opportunities at the community gardens and KPU Farm. However, some find the interior less developed and express concerns about wildlife like coyotes and irresponsible pet owners.
"Love walking my dogs around the parameter of this conservation park. They love the new smells, longer walks and change of route but we will be more cautious for future walks.
I don't like seeing dogs poop around the walkway and have picked up countless other irresponsible owner's pet droppings so my review gets 1 less star.
Warning: I saw a large coyote in the park recently. I have heard from a neighour that another dog owner encountered a large coyote stalking their dog playing frisbee at Katsura Park. The owner grabbed their dog and frisbee but the coyote still tried to prey on them.
I will be bringing my coyote spray to walk around Richmond now."
