What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors generally find the Plunge! Aquatic Centre to be a fun spot, especially for families with children, with highlights like the indoor-outdoor pools and rope swings. However, some reviews mention concerns about water cleanliness and organization, particularly regarding locker availability and vending machines. The cost can also be a factor for some.
"First experience as we arrived was positive. The lady who greeted was nice. We had play all day passes. It was an easy start. I have to say though, it was quite unorganized after that. You’re not supposed to wear shoes into the change rooms but the hall where you leave shoes is very small and in the way for hallway traffic. There was no where to sit to take shoes off and for when you’re putting shoes back on.
The family change room was clean. You have to pay $5 for a lock. I think the lockers should be updated to larger lockers and make them like the ski rental lockers, pay by debit.
Pool was clean but very crowded. Otherwise, kids had a very positive experience."

"The Plunge was overall a good experience for my toddlers and me. It was a bit crowded, but that was expected since it was midday and very hot. The water inside the building was cold, understandably, while the outdoor pool was warmer.
However, the water wasn’t very clean, with noticeable tree particles and hair floating around. Despite that, my girls really enjoyed their time at the splash pad and the hot tub.
It is quite pricey. When we arrived, there were no lockers available. The change rooms are small, and renting a locker costs $5.00. If you need a towel, it’s an additional $1.00. Children aged 3 and up are charged to use the pool, and there’s also a $10.00 fee just to be a spectator. On the board at front desk, they put that you can only stay for a maximum of 2 hours, but I am not sure how they are tracking people's stay.
There are two lifeguards at the pool and an attendant at the slide, which was reassuring."

"Don’t bother with the vending machines at Plunge. It will eat your $5,$10,$20 bills. Good luck getting your money back. Staff knows full well and won’t warn you. Save your cash and don’t use the vending machine. Staff should put up a sign. Shame."

Planning Tip: If you're visiting during a holiday weekend or peak summer season, be prepared for potential queues.
