What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Doube's Trestle Bridge for its historical significance, well-maintained trail, and stunning panoramic views, especially during the fall. The accessibility for walking and cycling is a major draw, though some note that roadside parking could be improved and there are no nearby washrooms.
"We took our 2 girls aged 3 & 2 years. The parking on Orange Corners road was ok but was not the greatest, its roadside parking and as of the date of this review (Oct 10 2025) the road parking was unpaved and uneven/ slanted on a small hill. We took the girls on their balance bikes with a wagon for when they get tired. The trail in that section was narrow compared to what we are used to, the terrian was relatively flat with maybe 2 small hills. The trail was layed with crushed limestone and it was just over 1km in length to get to the bridge from the parking. The sides of the trail can be steep so always keep a very close eye on younger ones. The view from the bridge is beautiful. No public washrooms nearby so keep that in mind. It was a great experience. I wish those in charge of the bridge would remove the locks people put on the bridge...those locks add unnecessary weight to the bridge. This was close to Riverview Park and Zoo and I think its also close to Emily Provincial Park. Good experience. 4 stars because the road parking could be better."
