The animal displays throughout the zoo were very informative and easy to follow, making it a great place to learn as well as enjoy the sights.
The food area was spacious and comfortable, perfect for a quick break, and the staff all around the zoo were friendly, helpful, and clearly passionate about their work. "They get the biggest five star I can give.
The zookeepers and staff are super kind and approachable, and I got to learn a lot of interesting things while I was there.
It feels so open and inviting. I grew up in Calgary and yes it's bigger. But the experience is way different. I honestly don't think Calgary can compare.
The prices at the Edmonton valley zoo are amazing. The animals are pretty out going and it's super cool.
I wish there was more I could do to help them expand more. I don't have a lot of money I can give but whenever I come to Edmonton I'm gonna make time for an incredible trip to the zoo.

"Visited the Edmonton Valley Zoo with family and had a really enjoyable time! The zoo is well-kept, easy to navigate, and offers a good mix of animals, especially considering its smaller size. The highlights for us were the red pandas, seals, and the newly updated sections like the Arctic Shores exhibit. It’s clear they’re making efforts to modernize and improve animal habitats.
Staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and we appreciated the educational signage throughout. It's definitely a great place for families with young kids – lots of interactive displays and a mini train ride that's always a hit.
The only reason it's not 5 stars is that some areas still feel a bit dated, and the food options were pretty limited during our visit. A few more shaded seating areas would also be nice on hot days.
Overall, a great way to spend a few hours in Edmonton. Would definitely go back, especially as more updates are completed!"
