"This is a beautifully restored grand Victorian house - thanks go to Wilmot Township for saving it, restoring it and making it available to the public.
The introductory video is very good. But when I learned the family sold off the contents in 1989 or thereabouts, I was concerned there wouldn't be much to see. I was wrong. The rooms are well furnished with period, if not original items, and decorated in appropriate style.
The trompe-l'oeil paintings in the hall are magnificent and a tribute both to the original artist and the restorer.
Be sure the visit the belvedere and striking feature of this house."
