What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Downtown Stratford for its unique charm, historic architecture, and delightful array of independent shops and restaurants, evoking a small European town feel. The unconventional street layout adds to its character, though some dining spots can be small and popular. Overall, it's highly recommended for a step back in time and a refreshing adventure.
"Wasn't sure where I should post my review, so I'm just posting it here. Downtown Stratford was an amazing place to visit. So many wonderful shops to explore without your standard take-out places ... like McDonald's & Starbucks! Instead, you have your specialty coffee shops and quaint restaurants. The very old buildings and streets were reminiscent of a small European town ... One thing we noticed was that the the roads were not in perfect blocks, but rather in diagonals and random crossings. Everything about this town was interesting and unique ... with so much history, culture & charm! We ate lunch at the Hungry Ninja where the bowls were delicious, although the swirls of cucumber were a bit difficult to pick up and eat with chopsticks! 😆 Also, you take a chance if you want to eat in the restaurant as it is very small and popular, so most people were taking out. The service was excellent! We even had fun at the Dollar Haven which was not your typical Dollarama. 😆 Highly recommend a visit to Stratford if you want to take a step back in time and are looking for a new adventure. 😊👍💜"
