The tower's panoramic views are also a major highlight. Some note that it's no longer an active church, functioning more as an art exhibition, and photography can be challenging due to crowds.
"the murals are awesome & extraordinary. when I was there, there’s heavy thunderstorm, so many people are sitting inside. Need to avoid their heads so photos are not great. But definitely worth to come here despite the 3.5 hours drive."

"This is the most beautifully painted orthodox church I have ever seen. I was raised in orthodox religion so I’ve seen a few churches and monasteries in my life😂 they always have a lot of golden stuff inside. This time were none and I loved this. The dark paintings gave me a feeling of peace and rest.
The tower of the church can also be visited, and it have an elevator so you won’t have to climb more stairs 😂 It has a separate entry fee of 5 leva but when you reach the top you get an wonderful view."

"Beautiful rebuilt church located within Tsarevets Fortress. Not really functioning as a church any more, more an art exhibition but still a beautiful sight. Be warned the tower adjoining the church is open to the public to go up but only on certain days."
