It has many ponds, marshes, and a river that runs into the Black Sea, creating beautiful scenery. There are many viewing decks and places where people can see the nature preserve, the Black Sea, and the surrounding hills all in the same view. I recommend visiting, especially for people who want to take a break from the surrounding resorts and populated areas to see real nature."

"We've been coming here for many years and were disappointed to see the amount trash this time. It almost seems like the city cut the garbage collection funding for the area. We came every day for a week and the piles only grew larger (photos below). Disclaimer: the containers are along a gravel path just passed a small hill behind the actual coast, nonetheless, it's sad to see"

"Mixed feelings. Not only because of the blocked access road (October 2024 only accessible from Therma Beach) and the rubbish dumped everywhere (why do Bulgarians pollute their own country so much???), but also because of the lack of hiking trails. We were unable to find the viewing tower shown in some photos, not even directions to it. But if you forget these negative things, it is a beautiful swamp forest by the beach, very special. The small river Batova borders the forest on the north and south sides and flows over the beach into the sea. Well worth a visit for nature lovers, and if there were a guided tour we would definitely take it next time."
