"O solar foi o primeiro local que fui em Sabará. Fica no centro histórico e é simplesmente lindo. O espaço é gigante, com 2 andares e uma área aberta aos fundos com mesas e cadeiras para sentar e descansar. Além disso, possui banheiro e bebedor disponível para os visitantes. As obras dispostas no segundo andar são lindas, e durante minha visita, no festival da jabuticaba, o primeiro andar estava com estandes dos projetos sociais de sabará, em que algumas mulheres estavam vendendo suas obras. Comprei uma ecobag pintada à mão com desenhos de jabuticaba, e foi a melhor ecobag que já comprei na vida. É visível a dedicação na criação e o empenho das mulheres. De modo geral, a cidade é linda e o povo acolhedor, com certeza visitarei mais vezes."

"O solar foi construído em 1773 para servir de residência para o padre José Correia da Silva, filho de um rico boticário português estabelecido na vila do Sabará.
No século XIX, o casarão foi adquirido por João Batista Ferreira de Sousa Coutinho, o 1º barão de Catas Altas e depois vendida para o barão de Sabará, Manuel Antônio Pacheco.
Durante os séculos XIX e XX, a casa hospedou personagens ilustres, como os imperadores do Brasil e o presidente da república Washington Luís. Posteriormente, passou a abrigar a sede da Câmara Municipal de Sabará que permanece até os dias atuais.
Desde 2018, abriga um museu histórico da cidade."
