"a very nice museum full of treasures divided into 3 parts: the first is a temporary exhibition of the book-making in the monastery, specifically songbooks, the second is a treasury with beautiful relics, in the last there are statues and paintings, the museum is dedicated to Christianity, it is very informative, educational, clean, toilets, coat hangers available, English speaking staff, only minimum entrance fee, definitely worth seeing"

"This museum of ancient art houses amongst others the treasure of Oignies: thanks to a nunnery who kept this treasure of medieval times save during decades, it was only ten years ago that tanks to the King Baudouin Foundation the treasure can be viewed in a splendid way. Most of the artwork comes from a monk called Hugo who was not only a master in copying manuscripts but also as a goldsmith, a jeweler and emailing artist. The museum houses also some fine wooden artwork and paintings of Henry with the Bless."

"Definitely one of Namur’s highlights. It was refreshing to visit this place, most of the city looks abandon or poorly maintained, but this museum is the exception.
The collection is impressive, it is considered one of the Seven Wonders of Belgium, the Treasure of Oignies consists of 50 pieces of precious metalwork. Dating mainly from the first half of the thirteenth century, the Treasure is famous for its remarkable technical execution and the precious materials used, its cellent state of conservation, and its history.
Definitely worth a visit. I went on a weekday one hour before closing and it was empty so I could just take photos and enjoy the place at my own pace.
There’s also a garden on the back where you can appreciate the building a bit more and chill or look at some statues.
The staff there was really nice and welcoming, the girl at the counter that welcome me to the treasury was really nice and helpful.
Audio guide is included, and offered in multiple languages. The price includes, the treasury, the paintings, garden and temporary exhibition."
