What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Collingwood Children's Farm for its charming, rural atmosphere within the city and the opportunity for hands-on animal encounters. The friendly staff and the peaceful setting are often highlighted as positives. However, some find the parking situation inconvenient and the admission price a bit high for the number of animals available at certain times.
"I took 10 month old to see farm animals for the first time
The farm is easy to find and is located at the end of the road. Parking is not free, not sure of the exact parking rates but we were charged $7.50 for 2 hours.
We got to the farm at 2pm, tickets $20 for adults and 10 month old was free, which was good.
The farm itself is was okay, some parts of the farm was not suitable for a prams, lots of vegetable gardens scattered all over the property, not many farm animals to see(little sad), cafe was closing up around the time we arrived.
Overall, we didn't feel it was worth $20 per adult, not many animals to see, most of the paths are not kid or pram friendly, no activities later in the afternoon. Might come back during school holidays but I feel your money could go a long way at other Melbourne attractions"

"This place is a wonderful hands on country vibe sanctuary in the inner city area. There are so many animals roaming around for kids to observe and pat. The goats, chickens, guinea pigs, pigs and sheep were very popular with my daughter. The expansive vege garden is brilliant. I loved this place so much after my first visit that I bought an annual membership. An excellent activity for families or people trying to entertain little kids whilst also teaching them about the environment, animals and sustainability."

"Loved the atmosphere - so close to the city yet feels like you could be miles away. A great way to connect to nature and the farm life. Would recommend this to all ages as well, not just children/ parents!"
