What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Tsaghkadzor Ski Resort for its beautiful mountain scenery, extensive ski slopes, and efficient lift system, noting minimal waiting times. The cable car ride is a highlight for its breathtaking views, though the boarding process requires caution, especially with children. Dining options on the slopes are also appreciated.
"Visited in June, and while the ski activities were understandably closed for the season, the trip was still absolutely worth it.
🎢 The cable car ride is the main attraction during summer — and it doesn’t disappoint. The ride offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding green valleys and mountains. Honestly, you’ll find yourself wishing the ride never ends!
⚠️ A word of caution: the entry and exit to the cable car can be a bit tricky, especially if you’re traveling with children. Since the car doesn’t come to a full stop, you’ll need to quickly hop onto or off the moving seat, which may feel slightly risky for some.
🌿 The scenery in June is lush, calm, and incredibly photogenic — it’s a totally different charm compared to the snowy winter months.
Even without the snow, Tsaghkadzor is worth a visit, especially if you love nature, mountain air, and unforgettable views. Just prepare accordingly if you’re visiting with young kids."

"A beautiful ski resort accessible from 88 hotel, which is excellent.
No hassle just put on your ski or snowboard and ride on the slopes
Fairly priced it’s $25 per day and you access all slopes that are really wide long and if I’m not mistaken, the length of the slopes altogether from top to bottom is 5.5 km on the way down from the highest point there is a nice restaurant midway there are two actually where you can rest you know go to the toilet have some delicious food and surprisingly the food at the resort is good Not sure if I was freezing my ass and that’s why I found a good, but I really enjoyed it.
The scenery is really nice. It’s full of trees around. You can see the mountains as well while skiing and it wasn’t busy at all. In general. We love the experience. We were about 20 people. We did the three days on the slopes and it was phenomenal. I would definitely go back again
It’s highly recommended"

"We went to this place for skiing, it was our first skiing experience, the skiing shoe, suite, sticks everything you can get for rent, if you don't have prior experience, it's better to hire trainers. Beware, it costed us 75 USD per hour, but it will take minimum 3 hours when u finish 1 round as it will take some time to get the pass, and go to the top by cable car and the trainers will insist you to ride snow mobile when you landed from the cable car and you can ride snow mobile to the top by yourself (extra rent), and you can see mount ararat and aragat, its really nice view but the trainers hours is counting while you enjoy the view, and they instruct you while you go down, and they may insist you yo go up again. It coated us nearly 300 USD for 2. They don't remind you about the time and never give you discount. Other than this, its a very good experience."

Skiing and Snowboarding Experience
For those new to winter sports, hiring a trainer is highly recommended. While the cost can add up (around $75 USD per hour, with sessions often lasting 3+ hours), they provide essential guidance for navigating the slopes safely. Be aware that trainers might also suggest additional activities like snowmobiling, which incurs extra rental fees.
Despite the potential for higher costs with lessons, the overall experience is often described as phenomenal. The resort is praised for having 'almost no waiting' at chairlifts, allowing for more time on the slopes. The scenery, with trees and mountains surrounding the pistes, adds to the enjoyable winter atmosphere.
The Scenic Cable Car
However, a unique aspect of the cable car is its boarding process. The car does not come to a complete stop, meaning passengers must quickly hop on or off a moving seat. This can feel slightly risky and requires a degree of agility, particularly for families traveling with young children. Careful planning and assistance are advised for those with mobility concerns or very young kids.
Even when the snow has melted, the cable car ride remains a worthwhile activity. The summer months transform the landscape into a lush, calm, and incredibly photogenic environment, showcasing a completely different charm compared to the winter wonderland. It's an excellent way to appreciate the natural beauty of the region.
Dining with a View
Visitors have noted that the food at these resort restaurants is surprisingly good. Whether it's a hearty meal to refuel after a day on the slopes or a warm drink on a chilly day, these dining spots contribute to the overall positive experience. The combination of good food and spectacular views makes for a memorable break.
