"The legend says that the monastery, buit between the XI and XIII century, was built by the local king at the request of his daughter, whose garden and it.s beautiful flowers were destroyed by a great storm. By building this monastery, she was hoping that God would make her flowers return to her. Anyway, the xomplex looms amazing with the Pambak mountains in the background. The city was pretty deserted when we visited in the summer, but i understand that it is full in winter."
